ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL ⛪💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2022Today’s Theme: ⛪ REMEMBER THE POOR AMONG YOU“Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do”.Text: Galatians 2:10MESSAGE🍎Who is the poor? Someone that lacks the basic necessity of life. Someone without the proper means of survival is considered the poor. Why does God allow so many of his children to be poor? He could make them all rich if he is pleased; he could lay bags of gold at their doors; he could send them a large annual income; or he could scatter round their houses abundance of provisions, as once he made the quails lie in heaps round the camp of Israel, and rained bread out of heaven to feed them (Exodus 16:4)“Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.”There is no necessity that they should be poor, except that he sees it to be best. Hear Him;10 “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.12 If me were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof”.(Psalm 50:10-12)He could supply them; he could make the richest, the greatest, and the mightiest bring all their powers and riches to the feet of his children, for the hearts of all men are in his control (Proverbs 21:1). But he does not choose to do so; he allows them to suffer want, he allows them to pine in penury and obscurity. Why is this? There are many reasons, but one of them is to give us, who are favoured with enough, an opportunity of showing our love to Jesus. We show our love to Christ when we sing of him and when we pray to him; but if there were no sons of need in the world we should lose the sweet privilege of evidencing our love (God first demonstrated it-John 3:16), by ministering in alms-giving to his poorer brethren; he has ordained that thus we should prove that our love stands not in word only, but indeed and in truth (1 John 3:18).If we truly love Christ, we shall care for those who are loved by him. Those who are dear to him will be dear to us. Let us then look upon it not as a duty but as a privilege to relieve the poor of the Lord’s flock—remembering the words of the Lord Jesus,“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Mathew 25:40)Surely this assurance is sweet enough, and this motive strong enough to lead us to help others with a willing hand and a loving heart—recollecting that all we do for his people is graciously accepted by Christ as done to himself.PRAYERS♨️Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love for me. You first loved me for giving your only begotten Son to die for me on account of my sins. Lord you are worthy.Father, help me to love you as you firsts loved me by manifesting your love in me to the brethren. Increase your love in my heart and help me to be like you. Empower me Lord to come to your full status in Christ Jesus, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.Father, saturate me with the love of Christ and help me to live in your love forever in Jesus name, Amen.FURTHER BIBLE READINGPROVERBS 19:17; PROVERBS 22: 9; JAMES 2:5.BIBLE RADING PLAN THROUGH THE YEAR.MORNING: GENESIS, 15-16EVENING: MATHEW, 15-16💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦Hammer Word Cares ⛪
