ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL⛪FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2022🪐💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦Today’s Theme: ⛪ RAVENING WOLVES“Their horses also are swifter than the Leopards, and are more- fierce than the evening wolves; and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far, they shall fly as the Eagle that hasteth to eat”Text: Habakkuk 1:8MESSAGE🍎Ravening is used to describe someone who acts wild and brutish (just like an animal, cruel and stupid). Wolves in the Bible is an emblem of treachery and cruelty (Gen. 49: 27). Someone who is ravenous is ferociously hungry, like the wild animal. Ravening Wolves can be equated to human behaviour ready to prey on others by seeking opportunities to devour. Ravening Wolves are those false prophets who claim to be God’s representatives but they are enemies in sheep’s clothing. Ravening Wolf is fierce and brutal in its hunger for anything so desire by it. So, anybody that acts WILE AND BRUTISH IS THE AVENING WOLF. This is a clear picture of the devil and its cohorts. The false prophets fall inline in this. Let us listen to our beloved Apostle Paul in Acts 20:29, “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock”HOW CAN WE IDENTIFY THEM?THEY CARRY FALSE IDENTIFY TO DECEIVE.There was a man like this and many more exist today carrying false identity. He was noted in his time as a political leader who frequently used the Christian vocabulary. He spoke about the blessing of the Almighty God and the Christian beliefs which would become the pillars of his new government. He declared his spirituality to the press, displaying his tattered Bible, and that he drew strength for this great work from it. He was welcomed by many Christians as a man sent from God. Who was this leader? It was Adolf Hitler.DISHONEST GAINThe scripture reveals: her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey (ravening wolves), to shed blood, and to destroy souls (lives) to get dishonest gain (Ezekiel 22: 27).It is noted that those who should have protected the people and properties; are like wolves, subtle, and cruel, preying upon the weak.BY THEIR FRUITS, YOU SHALL KNOW THEMIn the description of the false prophets, who came in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravening wolves, Jesus revealed how they should be identified: you shall know them by their fruits. Mathew 7:16-20.ERRONEOUS DOCTRINEScripture reveals: I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock (Acts 20:29). Verse 30, declares that men shall arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. They are coming to subvert the truth. Be careful of them.ZEPHANIAH GIVES A TRUE PICTURE OF THE RAVENING WOLVES AND THEIR COHORTS IN ZEPHANIAH 3:1-3:They obeyed not the voice of the Lord. Zephaniah 3:2They don’t received instruction or take correction. Zephaniah 3:2They don’t trust in the Lord but trust in their charms, amulet or gods. Zephaniah 3:2.They agents are roaring lions. Zephaniah 3:3Their judges are evening wolves. Zechariah 3:3They hurt for precious souls till the morning. Zechariah 3: 4.Their prophets appear as men of God but they are wolves, cunning and wicked, always seeking for whom to deceive and devour. Zephaniah 3: 4.Those evil prophets have defiled and polluted the sanctuary of God. Zephaniah 3:4.They do violence to the truth and the poor. Zephaniah 3:4They forbid to hear the name of Jesus. Acts 4:18; Acts 5: 27, 28.False teachers who craftily and industriously hunt for the precious life, devouring men by their false-hoods, are as dangerous and detestable as evening wolves. Darkness is their element, deceit is their character, destruction is their end. We are most in danger from them when they wear the sheep’s skin. Blessed is he who is kept from them, for thousands are made the prey of grievous wolves that enter within the fold of the church.What a wonder of grace it is when fierce persecutors are converted, for then the wolf dwells with the lamb, and men of cruel ungovernable dispositions become gentle and teachable. O Lord, convert many such: for such we will pray to deliver and turn them from all forms of unrighteousness.PRAYERS♨️Heavenly Father, please Lord, deliver me from ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing in my family, in my office/business and in my place of worship. I thank you Lord for this wonderful knowledge you have impacted on me this morning in Jesus mighty name, Amen. Father, prepare me for the battle of my destiny and strengthen me with thy inner strength, to fight and fulfil my purpose in life in Jesus mighty name, Amen. I declare today that my going out is blessed and my returning is blessed.
