ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL⛪MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2022🪐💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦TODAY’S THEME: ⛪ OUR SURE HOPE“For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel”TEXT: Colossians 1:5MESSAGE🍎Hope is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respects to events and circumstances in one’s life.Our Sure Hope is that Christ is able to give us the eternal life that He has promised because He is the Living Saviour, and we that are saved shall walk in the light of it.Our hope in Christ for the future is the focus and the mainstay of our joy here. It will elevate our hearts to think often of heaven, for all that we can desire is promised there. Here we are weary and toilworn, but yonder is the land of rest where the sweat of labour shall no more bedew the worker’s brow, and fatigue shall be forever banished. To those who are weary and spent, the word “rest” is full of heaven. We are always in the field of battle; we are so tempted within, and so molested by foes without, that we have little or no peace; but in heaven we shall enjoy the victory, when the banner shall be waved aloft in triumph, and the sword shall be sheathed, and we shall hear our Captain say well done, good and faithful servant.“His Lord said unto him well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou have been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord” (Matthew 25:21)We have suffered bereavement after bereavement, but we are going to the land of the immortal where graves are unknown things. Here sin is a constant grief to us, but there we shall be perfectly holy, for there shall by no means enter into that kingdom anything which defiles or makes a lie.“And there shall in no wise enter into it anything which defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie; but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life” (Revelation 21: 27)Worldly Towers not up to the standard of celestial fields. Oh! is it not joy, that you are not to be in banishment forever, that you are not to dwell eternally in this wilderness, but shall soon inherit Canaan? For Caanan we shall come and Caanan we shall be, if only we work in the light as he in the light (1 John 1:7)Nevertheless, let it never be said of us, that we are dreaming about the future and forgetting the present, let the future sanctify the present to highest uses. Through the Spirit of God, the hope of heaven is the most potent force for the product of virtue; it is a fountain of joyous effort, it is the corner stone of cheerful holiness and it is the catalyst that empowers our services in Him.Any man who has this hope in him goes about his work with vigour, and purifies himself even as the Lord is pure (1 John 3:3), for the joy of the Lord is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10).Such man fights against sins and temptation with ardour, for the hope of the next world repels the fiery darts of the adversary. He can labour without present reward, for he looks for a reward in the world to come. May you as a true saint of God, focus on the glory that is before you, labour to enter a kingdom set before, where Christ is the light thereof, the street is of pure gold, the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.For certainly, if you are saved, the joy is that you shall walk in the light of it. (Revelation 21: 21-24). What a great story joy it shall be? What an amazing experience we feel? This is the sure hope of the saint. Hallelujah!Will you be there? Certainly, you should be there! I will be there, Amen.PRAYERS♨️Heavenly Father, I thank you this morning for the love and mercy you shower on me to behold the beauty of this day. Lord I am grateful. Father, I commit my activities to this day, asking for the grace that was set before, to empower me, strengthen me and grant me the wisdom I need to carry on this life’s challenges and come out victorious. I command that the spirit of this day response to the will of God concerning me today.
