ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL ⛪FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18,:2022🎁TODAY’S THEME: ⛪ LIGHT MY CANDLE O’ LORD“For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.” TEXT: Psalms 18:28 (KJV)MESSAGE🍎Candle in the Bible signifies light in the darkness of life especially individual life. Candle is a holy illumination of the Spirit of truth.Though God is light, but He makes use of candles. In a world of gross darkness, what God needs is candle to capture the territory and squash darkness.What is God’s Candle?Proverbs 20:27, says “The Spirit of man is the candle of the Lord.”The Candle of the Lord is man’s spirit. God needs man’s spirit to align with His Spirit for exploits. Amos 3:3 says “can two walk together except they be agreed”? And Amos 3:7 adds;” Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets” (KJV)It is God’s desire to deliver a territory from darkness. But the challenge is that He needs a candle. He needs men that will present their candles and receive light that will bring deliverance to their territory and set at liberty those that are bound.Examples of those that presented their Candles in the Bible to the Lord for use;Daniel in Daniel 5:11. Daniel remained relevant in his days because his candles which receive light from God.“There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers” (Daniel 5:11).John the Baptist was also a burning light for God in his generation.6 “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John” (John 1:6). He was called of God as the candle of light;33” Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.35 He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light” (John 5:33,35).In Job 25:3, the Bible says;“Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arises?”I want to rightly inform you that every vessel of God carries some magnitude of God’s light. It is through the help of your spirit that you can catch the light, this is because the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. And you must walk in the spirit to be able to catch the light, because the Bible says, walk in the spirit and you will not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17);16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would”.It is our turn to pray and say “Light my Candle O Lord”. May the good Lord help you and light your candle in Jesus mighty name, Amen.God is awesome; He is the creator of the universe and the events therein. There are many things to learn from God; as a matter of fact, there is always something new to learn from God. He has positioned Himself to teach us new things so that we don’t become bored. As a child of God, learn to psych (psych comes from Greek word meaning breath, spirit, soul, mind; it denotes the human soul, spirit or mind) your mind to learn from God and nature (Psalm 19:1–3).“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard”.God created day and night, light and darkness, cold and heat, sweet and bitter, heaven and hell, joy and sorrow, etc. Therefore, we must know that the only thing that is constant is change, but God cannot change (Malach1 3:6)Beloved, if you are going through a period of darkness in your life, encourage yourself with God’s Word and know that surely your light will come. The Lord will light your darkness for you to have joy and testify that the Lord is good (Psalm 30:11). Cease from complaining, worrying, and murmuring; turn these into praise, thanksgiving, and dancing. When you create the atmosphere of praise, thanksgiving, and dancing in the midst of your sorrows and difficulties, God is glorified, and He comes speedily to rescue you. Hallelujah! Be A Worshipper!PRAYERS♨️Heavenly Father, I thank you for your goodness and favour in my life. I also thank You for teaching me how to encourage myself from the psalmist. I cease complaining and worrying today; I turn to praise, thanksgiving, and celebration for Your goodness and mercies over my life in Jesus’ name.
