ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21, 2022🎁💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦TODAY’S THEME: ⛪THE GOD OF THE COVENANT“Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.”TEXT: 2 Samuel 23:5 (KJV)MESSAGE📕A covenant is an agreement that brings about a relationship of commitment between God and his people; this covenant is sealed by the blood. In the new dispensation, the covenant that we have with God is sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ to give us the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13; 2:12);“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13);“That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12)You begin having covenant with God once you are born again. No flesh can have covenant with a holy God. Once you are saved, you are into covenant with God through His son Jesus Christ, our Lord. As much as you remain holy and obedience to God, you remain in this covenant.As a child of God, once the trend of things in your life are not good. You can still enter into covenant with God to change every negative trend in your life, in your family, in your business and in your foundation. And this covenant must be mutual. For example, Hannah entered into covenant with God, because she was barren, in 1 Samuel 1:11, she vowed to the Lord, promised that if the Lord will give her a male child, she will in turn give the child to the Lord.” And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head”(1 Samuel 1:11).And the Lord answered Hannah and gave her a male child. And Hannah did as she promised by taking the Samuel back to God.(26)” And she said, Oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord. (27) For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him:(28) Therefore also I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the Lord. And he worshipped the Lord there”By God’s covenant you are entitled to all the promises of God. The promises of God are found in the holy scriptures.Beloved, your duty is to search for the promises of God in the Holy Scriptures and remind God of His covenant with you regarding the fulfillment of the promises you have found (Proverbs 25:2); “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter”Remember that some of the promises are conditional; so, look out also for the conditions and fulfill them, and God will visit you.
