ULTIMATE CARE DEVIONAL🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2022🎁💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦TODAY’S THEME: 👉THOSE LED BY THE SPIRIT“But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law”TEXT: GALATIANS 5:18MESSAGE📕The phrase “led by the spirit” is only found two times in the New Testament in referring to Christians;“But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law” (Galatians 5:18)“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”(ROMANS 8:14).Having the Holy Spirit in your life is the pre-requisite of being led by the spirit. This point is made clear in Romans 8:15;” For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father”The sons of God are the once that are led by the spirit of God.To be led by the spirit, you must set your minds on the things of the spirit.5 “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit6 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be” (Romans 8:5-7)The spirit of God is working in us and leading us to desire the will of God. I believe this work that God does in us is through the Holy Spirit. He leads us to will for and to work for His good pleasure as we work along with him. We are coworkers with the spirit in the construction project of building our lives to look more like Jesus Christ. He is working in our minds to transform them and renew them so we can discern what the will of the Lord is.If we set our minds to the things of the spirit, it will make a difference in our lives. We will live according to the spirit. Just as Paul says, we will walk in the spirit. If we are led by the spirit, we will desire to be fruitful, as described in Gal. 5:22;(22) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”And as Paul says in Romans 8:12-14, we will by the Spirit put to death the deeds of the flesh:12 “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God”Are you being led by the spirit or by the flesh?I pray for you that the Spirit of God leads you and guides you into all the truth, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.PRAYERS🔑Heavenly Father, I thank you for your and protection in my life and family.
