Our Midweek Devotion 💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦♨️BEWARE OF DECEIT♨️”Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. (Colossians 2:8″).MESSAGE:The Apostle Paul exhorted the church in Colossae about the strategy of the enemy to entangle them again. The devil was going to do that through philosophy and vain deceit with respect to tradition and rudiments of the world. The strategy of the enemy and his cohorts of darkness still lingers on today. He has colored the educational system with subjects and courses that seek to mock our faith. An example is the big bang theory, which does not recognize God as the creator of the earth. Another example is a false belief by some Jews that without circumcision in the flesh, one cannot be born again. When a person becomes born again, all the old things, including human traditions and philosophies, pass away (2 Corinthians 5:17). What the believer in Christ needs to do is to adopt the Word of God and God’s culture, which is found in the scriptures. The scriptures show you how to live a godly and victorious life, a life of spiritual liberty. Christians should be on the alert to reject the vain deceits of the devil through the Word of God. Dear beloved, have you also identify any false teachings from the devil?♨️ PrayersHeavenly Father, I thank you for your love and care for my life and family. Jesus Christ emphasized this in Luke 10:19, where he said our enemies have been perpetually placed under our feet for us to trample over them and that nothing would hurt us. Let this consciousness be in you, and you will overcome all doubts and opposition in your life. Dear beloved, do you have opposition in your life? But where shall this wisdom be found? Many have dreamed of it, but have not possessed it. Where shall we learn it? Let us listen to the voice of the Lord, for he hath declared the secret; he hath revealed to the sons of men wherein true wisdom lieth, and we have it in the text, “Whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.” The true way to handle a matter wisely is to trust in the Lord. This is the sure clue to the most intricate labyrinths of life; follow it and find eternal bliss. He who trusts in the Lord has a diploma for wisdom granted by inspiration: happy is he now, and happier shall he be above. Even though some may have good problems.Never be envious of what someone else has. You don’t know the price they paid to get it and the price they are paying to keep it. Maintain your focus.You don’t own half of the problems in this world.While you are discreetly wishing to be like the other person, Someone else is seriously praying for that life you take for granted.Sometimes the people you envy, are actually wishing they could have the life you live.Be contented and cherish what you have.You can be anything you want, just don’t be ungrateful.
