This place is called A City of Refuge. Jesus is my Rock of refuge for me and as long as I am following Him, I will be sheltered from storms that I have to go through.God has spoken to Joshua, He told him to appoint out for you cities of refuge, which was spoken by the hand of Moses.Joshua 20:3 says, “That the slayer that killeth any person unawares and unwittingly may flee thither: and they shall be your refuge from the avenger of blood.”These cities of refuge were set up not for murderers; they were set up for those who had killed someone accidently. These cities were set up to protect them from family members of the family of the person who had lost a loved one in this way.The family members of the victims might not have seen the way the situation took place very clearly, so they might have wanted revenge on the person who had killed an individual accidently.Joshua 20:4;4 “And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them”The people would have to declare their cause to the elders of these cities as they were standing in the entrance. These people were looking for a place of refuge and safety.Joshua 20:5;5 “And if the avenger of blood pursue after him, then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand; because he smote his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not before time”.These people were caught in a situation and they were running for their lives.Have you ever messed up and you felt that the enemy was pursuing you?Have you ever messed up and Satan has been on your heals?Has he been trying to tell you that you have messed up and that there is no forgiveness for what you have done? That is the devil for you.It is said that in the land of Canaan, cities of refuge were so arranged, that any man might reach one of them within half a day at the utmost. Even so the word of our salvation is near to us; Jesus is a present Saviour, and the way to him is short; it is but a simple renunciation of our own merit, and a laying hold of Jesus, to be our all in all. With regard to the roads to the city of refuge, we are told that they were strictly preserved, every river was bridged, and every obstruction removed, so that the man who fled might find an easy passage to the city. Once a year the elders went along the roads and saw to their order, so that nothing might impede the flight of any one, and cause him, through delay, to be overtaken and slain. How graciously do the promises of the gospel remove stumbling blocks from the way! Wherever there were by-roads and turnings, there were fixed up hand-posts, with the inscription upon them—“To the city of refuge!” This is a picture of the road to Christ Jesus. It is no roundabout road of the law; it is no obeying this, that, and the other; it is a straight road: “Believe, and live.” It is a road so hard, that no self-righteous man can ever tread it, but so easy, that every sinner, who knows himself to be a sinner may by it find his way to heaven. No sooner did the man-slayer reach the outworks of the city than he was safe; it was not necessary for him to pass far within the walls, but the suburbs themselves were sufficient protection. Learn hence, that if you do but touch the hem of Christ’s garment, you shall be made whole; if you do but lay hold upon him with “faith as a grain of mustard seed,” you are safe.“A little genuine grace ensures. The death of all our sins.”Only waste no time, loiter not by the way, for the avenger of blood is swift of foot; and it maybe he is at your heels at this still hour of eventide.PRAYERS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and victory over my life. And to know Him is to love Him.To love God is to worship and praise Him. “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only'” (Luke 4:8). The book of Psalms provides many beautiful examples of how to worship and praise our Creator (e.g., Psalms 8, 19, 23, 24, 67, 99, 117, and 150).To love the Lord is to put Him first in everything you do. The number-one commandment is to love God “with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30). It’s an undivided love. God is our priority. If we love God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength, then we won’t allow other things to crowd in. Our love for God is manifested by loving people (Mark 12:31), but we do not love the things of the world. “Earth has nothing I desire besides you” (Psalm 73:25). We cannot love this present world and God at the same time (1 John 2:15); love for what the world offers can lead us astray (2 Timothy 4:10).To love the Lord is to desire Him, to yearn for His righteousness, His Word, and His grace. “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God” (Psalm 42:1). Once we have tasted and seen that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8), we want more of Him. If we love God, we will be like Mary of Bethany, “who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said” (Luke 10:39). If we love God, the psalmist’s description of the Word of God will resonate within us: “[it is] more precious than gold, than much pure gold; . . . sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb” (Psalm 19:10).The Psalmist declared in Psalm 116:1, “I Love the Lord…”. When we truly love someone or something we readily talk about the object of our love. Think about what you truly love – your heroes, your sports teams, your job, your favorite activities, your favorite food, your spouse, your boyfriend/girlfriend, your family. How often do you talk about what you love? Probably frequently – because we do readily talk about the object of our love. So, it was natural for the Psalmist to talk about his Lord and his love for His Lord. Psalm 116 is very personal, so much so that it is what we can all called a first- person testimony. The Psalmist shares, first, REASONS FOR HIS LOVE. Reason number one is in verses 1 & 2: “I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.” I love the Lord because HE PAYS ATTENTION TO ME. We all like people who pay attention to and listen to us. We like people who put down the newspaper, lay aside the remote, set aside the IPad, tablet, or computer and look at us when we talk to them. So, says the Psalmist, God listens to and hears us – He pays attention to us. When we call out to God there is no busy signal, and no recorded message. He listens, he hears, He remembers. The Psalmist, in fact, uses two different words for ‘heard.’ “I love the Lord, for he heard my voice…;” here ‘heard means simply ‘listened.’ But in “…he heard my cry for mercy…” the word means God ‘inclined to me.’ That’s what’s emphasized in the next sentence: “Because he turned his ear to me…” The same word is used in Prov. 7:21 to describe the response of a man who is seduced by a harlot and turns aside to her; and it appears in 1 Kings 11:4 where it describes how Solomon’s wives turned away his heart after other gods. (1) So, says the Psalmist, God turns aside from what He’s doing to bend towards us. It brings to my minds the olden days before hearing aids – people with trouble hearing would place a funnel type device in their ear and turn it towards whoever was speaking so they could hear better. Or it’s like leaning over to hear the faint voice of someone lying in bed in a weakened condition. It’s what God does to us whenever we call upon Him.Why does God pay such attention to us? BECAUSE HE LOVES US. It goes back to Dt. 7:7-8 (MSG) where the Israelites were told: “GOD wasn’t attracted to you and didn’t choose you because you were big and important—the fact is, there was almost nothing to you. He did it out of sheer love, keeping the promise he made to your ancestors. GOD stepped in and mightily bought you back out of that world of slavery, freed you from the iron grip of Pharaoh king of Egypt.” God pays attention to us NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT WE ARE BUT BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS. That’s why He hears our cries and prayers, why He bends down to us? I pray that you will bend low to receive Him, accept Him and serve Him. This is where your love for Him lies.PRAYERS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and care over my life and destiny. I love you because you first love me. Thank you, Father. The number-one commandment is to love God “with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30). Loving God also implies seeking the kingdom of God first and His righteousness (Mathew 6:33).“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (MATHEW 6:33).Once you love God and seek the kingdom first, God will fight for you and deliver you. Let fall back to the Psalmist in Psalm 116: 2-3; The Psalmist loves the Lord because the Lord heard his cry. “The cords of death entangled me, the anguish of the grave came over me; I was overcome by distress and sorrow. Then I called on the name of the LORD and said “LORD, save me!”. Trapped in a difficult, perhaps life-threatening situation the Psalmist called on the Lord. And he experienced deliverance THROUGH THE PROTECTION OF AND SAVING BY THE LORD. (PSALM 116: 5-6) “The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The LORD protects the unwary… when I was brought low, he saved me.” God saves us and give us life as well. In 2 Cor. 1:8-10 (NLT) Paul wrote, “We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it”. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.” Through Jesus’ death God has saved us from the penalty of sin, and will – as we see in Revelation – save us from the presence of sin. In the meantime, as Paul indicated, He is saving us from the power of sin – He will continue to rescue us and give us life. The Psalmist also loves the Lord because, he says, HE CARES BOUNTIFULLY FOR ME. Here he speaks to his soul (PSALM 116 Verse 7): “… for the LORD has been good to you.” The word ‘good’ has the meaning of ‘bountiful.’ GOD PROVIDES IN EXCESS. (Phil. 4:19) “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” With God it’s not just mercy, it’s tender mercy; not just kindness but loving kindness; not just life but abundant and eternal life. It’s not just provisions, but abundant provisions (2 Cor. 9:8-11 MSG) “God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done… This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way…”Believer, look back through all thine experience, and think of the way whereby the Lord thy God has led thee in the wilderness, and how he hath fed and clothed thee every day—how he hath borne with thine ill manners—how he hath put up with all thy murmurings, and all thy longings after the flesh-pots of Egypt—how he has opened the rock to supply thee, and fed thee with manna that came down from heaven. Think of how his grace has been sufficient for thee in all thy troubles—how his blood has been a pardon to thee in all thy sins—how his rod and his staff have comforted thee. When thou hast thus looked back upon the love of the Lord, then let faith survey his love in the future, for remember that Christ’s covenant and blood have something more in them than the past. He who has loved thee and pardoned thee, shall never cease to love and pardon. He is Alpha, and he shall be Omega also: he is first, and he shall be last. Therefore, bethink thee, when thou shalt pass through the valley of the shadow of death, thou needest fear no evil, for he is with thee. When thou shalt stand in the cold floods of Jordan, thou needest not fear, for death cannot separate thee from his love; and when thou shalt come into the mysteries of eternity thou needest not tremble, “For I am persuaded, that neither death; nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Now, soul, is not thy love refreshed? Does not this make thee love Jesus? Doth not a flight through illimitable plains of the ether of love inflame thy heart and compel thee to delight thyself in the Lord thy God? Surely as we meditate on “the love of the Lord,” our hearts burn within us, and we long to love him more.PRAYERS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and deliverance over my life. Reproach means shame, blame and disgrace. Affliction is a reproach. Poverty is a reproach. Sickness is a reproach. Disease is a reproach. Failure is a reproach. Lack is a reproach. Barrenness is a reproach. Whatever does not promote life, whatever does not enhance life but degrades, downgrades or relegates is a reproach. Whatever makes a person uncomfortable, whatever makes a person inferior to others, whatever makes a person wish to die, whatever makes someone feel that life is no more worth living physically, emotionally, socially, ministerially, financially, and academically and much more is a reproach? Whatever affects the fibber of your career/calling or ministry or marital status negatively is a reproach. Remember the word of Nehemiah; “Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach”.I can also tell you today as the Nehemiah of our time, 2023 General Elections is a round the corner, remember the reproach that Nigeria is passing through, “Let us arise to vote the right candidates into power, that we be no more reproach to the heathen, the infidels that are destroying this nation of ours”. If you remember this word today during the elections, and do it by voting the right candidates into power, happy are you, you will come back with the testimony.👉How does reproach come?👉1. Inherited reproach. Unfortunately, we don’t choose which country or family where we are born. Some are born to families of never do wells, cursed and poor. For example, Reuben was cursed by Jacob his father Gen. 49:3-4) and his children inherited the reproach. “Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. 1 Chr 5:1-2. Those who should inherit the blessing of first born became vagabonds and strugglers. Some are born with situations and condition they cannot explain but it’s reproachful. Jesus confronted such situations. One boy was born blind in John Chapter nine and Jesus changed the reproach to glory. That will be your portion. Whatever reproach that has followed you from birth will be terminated in this month of no more reproach in Jesus’ name. Your ugly feet at a beautiful gate shall be made beautiful in Jesus’ name.👉2. Circumstantial reproach. Unexpected tragedies. Some reproach come while people are pursuing life. A classic example is what happened to a woman called Naomi. She emigrated from the land of Israel to the land of Moab because of economic challenges called ‘famine and drought’ Ruth 1:1-7. In a space of few years she met with life tragedies that was beyond what she was running from. She lost her husband and two sons in quick succession. Hear what she said: “And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi (sweetness), call me Mara (Bitter) for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me. I went out full and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me? People are raped, people are lied against and are sent to jail for what they know little or nothing about and they suffer reproach. Even when they served the terms and come out they are regarded as ex-convicts. Some have accidents and are bed ridden for no fault of theirs and are going not only through the pains but the reproach. God is saying he will touch you in a special way this month and remove your reproach!👉3. Self-Inflicted Reproach.Life styles such as idolatry, corruption, fraud, 419, party spirits, drunkenness, fornication, adultery, thievery, and other types of immorality, are causes of reproach. Examples abound in scriptures and in contemporary life of people who by their actions and life styles brought shame and reproach on themselves. I am writing this so that you will no more bring shame on yourself.Noah a great man of God brought shame and reproach on himself by becoming a drunkard (Gen 9:21). Lot brought shame and disgrace when he also got drunk and slept with his daughters Genesis 19:31-35. Samson brought shame and reproach upon himself by his inability to control his sexual appetite. ‘Then went Samson to Gaza, and saw there a harlot, and went in unto her. And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house’. Judges 16:1, 4, 21. How many are grinding stones in strange places because of their inability to control their sexual appetites. People like Reuben who slept with his father’s concubine and brought generational reproach on his generation. Gen 49:3-4. David the uncommon General brought shame and reproach because of sexual activities. Amnon, the son of David half-brother of Absalom, raped the sister of Absalom and brought not only disgrace but uncommon death upon himself. How many are carrying unwanted pregnancies and corresponding shame because they could not close their thighs. Some bring reproach by stealing, manipulation and all kinds of unwholesome lifestyles.Listen to me this is not the plan of God for you. Read this: “An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, and able to teach. 1 Timothy 3:2 “So that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world” Philippians 2:15″Namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion. For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain” Titus 1:6-7👉4.Reproach from Others Sources. People can bring reproach on you just because they hate you, your parents, and your family. – like the people of Israel suffered. “Therefore, they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Ramses. Ex 1: 11. People are sacked in their offices for what they know nothing about and they suffered shame. Some defile others and brought shame on them. I have two counsels stop bringing reproach on people. Stop putting yourself in a situation that will bring reproach on yourself and other.👉5. Bearing reproach because of Christ. There is one reproach God wants you to bear, reproach for his name. God wants to you to bear reproach for the sake of the gospel. Many servants of God, in carrying out their commission, suffer reproach. People like Jeremiah. “Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the LORD. For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily. Jer 20:2, Jer 20:8.Peter said it so well. “If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15Indeed, none of you should suffer as a murderer or thief or wrongdoer, or even as a meddler. 16But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear this name”. 1 Pet 4:14-16.PRAYERS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and protection over my life and destiny. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, every inherited reproach, I cancel and terminate them over my life and destiny. That which is not to the glory of God in my life, I command them to give way by the power of the Holy Ghost. That which hinders my life blessings and process, I banish them by the blood of Jesus. I decree every work of darkness over my life and destiny null and void in Jesus’ name, Amen.FURTHER BIBLE READING: 1 PETER 4BIBLE READING PLAN FOR THE YEAR,2023.MORNING: 1 CHRONICLES, 9-10.: EVENING: 1 CHRONICLES, 11-12💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦👨‍👩‍👧 Author: Pastor NseAbasi Harry💦💦💦💦💦🎁💦💦💦💦💦HAMMER WORD BIBLE CHURCH, ABAK, NIGERIA CARES ⛪[2/2, 7:19 AM] Pastor Dr. NseAbasi Harry: ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2023🎁💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦THEME: 👉THE OVERWHELMING HEART”From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I”TEXT: Psalms 61:2MESSAGE📕To be overwhelmed means to be devastated, or overpowered. To overwhelm is also to cover or bury beneath a mass of something, as floodwaters, debris, or an avalanche; submerge. Being overwhelmed often means putting our focus in a time that isn’t the present. Life with an overwhelming heart burdens the soul who owns it.To avoid getting stressed, simply bring your attention back to the now. We can’t change the past and we can’t control the future, but we can do our best to create a positive experience in the present by the help of the Holy Spirit. On account of this, the Psalmist declares;”From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (PSALM 61:2)In today’s society, it seems that many of us feel overwhelmed the majority of the time. However, in the long run, this can lead to chronic stress and major health problems, which we’d obviously want to avoid if we could help it. We might not be able to escape the stresses of everyday life, but we can learn to manage them more effectively. If you have been feeling overwhelmed lately, we hope the following quotes will help you ease your stress and remember the beauty of life even in the difficult moments.5 Ways To Stop Feeling Overwhelmed“You can’t calm the storm, so stop trying. What you can do is calm yourself. The storm will pass.” – Timber HawkeyeWhen life seems like a constant rat race, remember to take time for yourself. Create a calm environment in your home and within you, so no amount of stress can pierce through the layer of tranquility you’ve created for yourself.“Getting knocked down in life is a given. Getting up and moving forward is a choice.” – Zig ZiglarWe can’t control what happens to us, but we can control how we react to it. Remember that even when life knocks you down, you don’t have to stay there and let it run the show. Get up and fight back, because that is the only way you can keep going in life. The less you respond to negativity, the more peaceful your life becomes.Maybe the key to stop feeling overwhelmed lies in what you give your attention to. What you focus on expands, so remember this the next time you feel overwhelmed. You have the power to create your reality, and that starts with what you give your energy and what thoughts you allow. Just let God be your guide.“Take life day by day and be grateful for the little things. Don’t get stressed over what you can’t control.” Give to God in prayers.Being overwhelmed often means putting our focus in a time that isn’t the present. To avoid getting stressed, simply bring your attention back to the now. We can’t change the past and we can’t control the future, but we can do our best to create a positive experience in the present by the help of the Holy Spirit.Stop stressing yourself too much. Everything will be okay, just let it go.No matter what happens in life, you can’t always control the outcome. All you can do is give it up to God to decide what He wants you to learn and experience. And keep focusing on Christ, the source of your strength.Sometimes you have to stop thinking too much and just let God take charge.Oftentimes, we feel overwhelmed by trying to control our reality too much. Letting go and enjoying the process can usually alleviate any feelings of stress, because we’ve stepped back and allowed life to run its course.Trust yourself. You’ve survived a lot, and you’ll survive whatever is coming. One of the best things you can do in life is to believe in yourself. As long as you have you and your faith doesn’t waver, you can meet any challenge in life head on.When something is gone; something better is coming.Don’t focus on the past. You can learn from it, but don’t allow it to define you. The past is behind you for a reason; keep your eyes peeled for what’s in store ahead of you.“Don’t give up now. Chances are your best kiss, your hardest laugh, and your greatest day are still yet to come.” – AtticusNo matter what, just keep on going. If you give up now, you won’t know the many blessings that await you in the days to come. Oftentimes, our greatest battles simply prepare us for a wonderful future. We cannot start over, but we can create a new beginning.Sometimes, you just need to hit the reset button. It’s not always about fixing what’s broken; sometimes it’s about moving on and creating a better future in a new place. You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously.Every human is working towards perfection; we’re constantly evolving and working on ways to better ourselves. Just embrace your strengths and keep developing your weaknesses. So, you don’t have to be perfect to reach your goal, you just have to keep going and do whatever it takes to gain your own approval.Believers in Christ Jesus should know their God and Jesus Christ, who is the true rock higher than all. Do you know why? It is because you serve a living GOD who cares so much about you and is always expecting you to talk to Him about everything, even what you think is not so important. You can reach Him by His laid-down procedure: prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving. If you put prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving to work in every request you make, consider it done so there will be no need to be anxious. Anxiety is very dangerous and can even kill; consider many people who have lost their lives through road accidents because of worry/anxiety. Let see the implications of the theme-“Be Anxious for Nothing” (Philippians 4:6)7 Implications of the Phrase, ‘Be Anxious for Nothing’Paul’s familiarity with this hostile environment and his love for the Philippian church makes this text quite rich.He doesn’t just tell them not to worry, he does so by showing them what that looks like and why such anxieties would be in vain.Following this thread throughout his letter serves as our tool to understanding the bigger picture of “be anxious for nothing,” beyond the fundamental idea of “do not worry.”Don’t worry — God’s got you. Often, fear and worry go hand-in-hand so Paul doesn’t waste any time telling this group of believers not to be afraid, in any way, of those that would oppose them. The reason being — God is there to save them (Philippians 1:28).He, again, reminds them of this in Philippians 4:5, the verse prior to his plea to be anxious for nothing. He tells them, “The Lord is near,” followed by, “My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).Being anxious for nothing means knowing the God of peace was with the Philippians (Philippians 4:9), and He is with us, as well. To save us and to meet our needs.Don’t worry — there is power in prayer. In the same breath that Paul says, “Be anxious for nothing,” he poses the remedy of prayer.Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6).Not only is he reminding the Christian Philippians to stay in prayer, with much to be thankful for, he shares with them the reason for doing so — because it’s through gratitude and prayer that the unexplainable peace of God guards our minds and hearts (Philippians 4:6-7).Not only that, Paul references the power of prayer as he is anticipating his own deliverance to result from the prayers of others (Philippians 1:18-19).Being anxious for nothing means making our requests in prayer, with gratitude, because we recognize the power of prayer and we recognize the power of God. It’s this trust and reliance in God that results in a peace that extinguishes fear and worry.Don’t worry — there are examples to follow. Just as you have us as a model, keep your eyes on those who live as we do (Philippians 3:17).And how was Paul living his life? As one who recognized his citizenship was in heaven, so he need not set his mind on earthly things (Philippians 3:19-20), and neither should we.Instead, we’re called to maintain a united mind with Christ and His Spirit (Philippians 2:1-2), to keep our focus on godly truths (Philippians 4:8), and to look up to those who have gone before us in faith and obedience.Paul was sure to point out how Jesus lived and how we should do the same — doing nothing out of selfish ambition, rather, valuing others above ourselves and looking out for the interests of others above our own (Philippians 2:3-5).Being anxious for nothing means finding encouragement from those whose lives boast of God’s faithfulness. These godly examples serve to help us lay down our own lives for Christ, looking to Him as the prime example of humility and obedience (Philippians 2:8).Don’t worry — death is not the end. Jesus tells us to not fear those who can kill the body (Matthew 10:28), for this reason, Paul says that even death can be considered great gain (Philippians 1:21).This isn’t easy in practice, especially since so many live as enemies of the cross (Philippians 3:18), but living unafraid, selflessly for the gospel, becomes easier upon the understanding that those in Christ have been called heavenward (Philippians 3:14) and will be resurrected with Him (Philippians 3:11) for an eternity with God.Being anxious for nothing means not putting our confidence in things of the flesh (Philippians 3:3), rather knowing that Christ can be exalted in life and in death (Philippians 1:20). For this reason, we confidently live for the glory to come.Don’t worry — things aren’t always what they seem. For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose (Philippians 2:13).Paul has seen, firsthand, the Lord at work, particularly in the midst of trials and persecution. He gives the example of God working to advance the gospel through his own dire circumstances of being held in chains (Philippians 1:12-13).Being anxious for nothing means trusting the plan, purpose, and sovereignty of God as His kingdom purposes are fulfilled in all manners of circumstance.Don’t worry — knowing Jesus is supreme. Paul tells the Philippians that there is surpassing worth to knowing Jesus, over anything that could be lost in this life.He goes as far as to call anything that is lost garbage if it means that Christ may be gained (Philippians 3:8).For this reason, Paul declares he has no need to worry because he’s learned to be content in any circumstance — the good and the bad (Philippians 4:11). And we know for Paul, it gets pretty bad (2 Corinthians 11:23-29).But it would have been in these circumstances that Paul experienced Jesus as the source of his strength (Philippians 4:13) and came to truly understand the surpassing worth of knowing Christ.Being anxious for nothing means pressing on to know Jesus until we fully grasp that He is in control (Philippians 3:21), that He is Lord above all (Philippians 2:6-11), and that sharing His gospel so others may know Him too, is what matters most.Don’t worry — it’s all for God’s glory. The Bible is pretty clear that God is working in us and through us, as we live by faith, to the glory and praise of God (Ephesians 3:20; Philippians 1:28).This means that each and every anxiety-inducing circumstance is an opportunity for God to be glorified. In the very least, by applying what has been shared here, peace is found, needs are met, worries dissolve, and the fruits of righteousness are cultivated (Philippians 1:11). That we may rejoice in the Lord, always (Philippians 4:4).PRAYERS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and care towards me, I quite appreciate you. LEWIS HOWES once said, “Sleep might be the most important aspect of building a great business, and having a high-performing body.” “Sleep is the best meditation.” — Dalai Lama. And Bing Crosby said, “When I’m worried and cannot sleep I count my blessings instead of sheep.” Could sleep be a period of counting blessings?Sleep scientists have explored these changes in depth, and their definition of sleep is tied to characteristic patterns of brain waves and other physiological functions. Not the passive state many people once considered it to be, sleep is now known to be a highly active process during which the day’s events are processed and energy is restored.“The way to a more productive, more inspired, more joyful life is getting enough sleep”, Arianna Huffington, The Sleep Revolution once said. “If you get tired learn to rest, not to quit” —this is the word of Banksy.Natural sleep has been created by GOD to give rest to the human body and rejuvenate it. Good natural sleep is given to the children of God so that they can wake up with renewed energy and a refreshed body to carry out the will/purpose of God for the day. If you are denied a good natural sleep, you are likely to have a rough day and your body, especially your brain, will not give you the accurate results that it usually gives you. Good natural sleep is attained in an atmosphere of good security. The Psalmist enjoyed good natural sleep because the LORD provided him with a secure atmosphere for a good sleep. Children of God should make time for themselves to have good sleep: they should not be afraid whatsoever, because GOD is with them and ready to provide them with that atmosphere of security. Sleep is one of the blessings of God for His beloved ones. Psalm 127: 1-2; “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep”. Sleep is a sure blessing from God.Dearly beloved, do well to enjoy good natural sleep. Count on the Lord and depend on Him for a sound sleep. What Did Jesus Mean When He Used the Phrase “Consider the Lilies?” “The lilies spoken of in the New Testament were probably the scarlet marathon (Lilium Chalcedonicum) or “red Turk’s-cap lily,” which comes into flower at the season of the year when our Lord’s sermon on the mount is supposed to have been delivered,” Easton’s Bible Dictionary explains, “It is abundant in the district of Galilee; and its fine scarlet flowers render it a very conspicuous and showy object, which would naturally attract the attention of the hearers.” Jesus often spoke in parables and visuals those around Him could understand; in this instance pointing to a beautiful flower they could probably see while He was speaking. Jesus never spoke to confuse anyone, but so that all would hear and understand. If we stop to consider how beautifully God clothes the flowers in the fields, we will recall His care over us. Considering the lilies reminded them, and reminds us today, how close our God is. Christ faithfully leads us through each day’s concerns and challenges. His very presence emphasizes the importance of our obedience to God’s word. “Toiling away out of fear for the future is not the same thing as God-glorifying labor” (“The Antidote to Worry”). God’s Word looks out for our best interest. As we were created to honor Him, He faithfully guides us to the path of a full life in Christ. “There is scarcely any one sin against which our Lord Jesus more largely and earnestly warns his disciples,” explains Matthew Henry’s Commentary, “…than the sin of disquieting, distracting, distrustful cares about the things of life, which are a bad sign that both the treasure and the heart are on the earth.” When our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ utters a word, we must not take it for granted but rather take it seriously and make it dear to our heart. When we make it dear to our heart, it brings understanding which leads to appreciating Jesus Christ as GOD. Have we as children of God considered the lilies of the field? They are so beautiful and prettily arrayed! They don’t toil and neither do they move/spin; they are fully dependent on the LORD for everything. Their faith, hope, and love are GOD and God makes sure they have their due. This is the message Christ Jesus wants to drum home into us. We, as children of God, will surely have our due; therefore, we should not worry, toil, and misunderstand God. We should work in our jobs/career in a sincere and faithful manner whilst depending on the Lord and He shall supply all our needs amen, Philippians 4:19. Dearly beloved, if you see lilies kindly consider them carefully and you will understand the message of Jesus Christ about absolute dependence on Him for He is our life and strength. Hallelujah! So, what exactly does it mean to praise Him? There are multiple words in Hebrew and Greek translated as “praise” in our English Bibles. In essence, to praise is to express adoration or approval. We praise the Lord for His traits, His works, and His character. Praise includes the acts of blessing, commending, honoring, thanking, celebrating, and rejoicing. We praise the Lord because He is worthy of all our praise. He is worthy of all adoration and approval. When David brought the ark of the covenant from Obed-Edom’s house back to Jerusalem, “he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to extol, thank, and praise the Lord, the God of Israel” (1 Chronicles 16:4). In part they were to “give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. . . Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced. . . He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations. . . Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. . . Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. . . Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’ . . . Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Cry out, ‘Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.’ Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting” (1 Chronicles 16:8–36). Beloved, what we use our mouths for is what we will become in the future. Some use their mouth to eat haphazardly; they are not selective in what they eat. This has a tendency of destroying your body, which is the temple of God. Others use their mouths to talk ungodliness/gossip; there is good gossip and bad gossip. Good gossip goes to further the work of Christ Jesus whilst on the other hand bad gossip runs down the work of the ministry of Christ. Which of these two are you using your mouth for? I hope you are using it for good gossip so that you can be blessed. Your mouth was created by the LORD to praise and worship Him, Hebrews 13:15-16. Also, your mouth was given to you by GOD to chart a good course for your life, Proverbs 12:14. Learn to use your mouth aright and God will bless you; people will also admire your life and bless you. It is by His grace that the veil of the temple that separates man from God, is torn in two from top to bottom, providing access into the presence of our heavenly Father. Through Christ, we have received the gracious invitation to come boldly to God’s Throne of Grace, in time of need. The author of Hebrews, writes to inform readers of the superiority of Jesus and to urge them to follow Him closely. In Hebrews 4:16 the author explains that we can come boldly to the throne of grace: “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” So, following Jesus is about confidence, not timidity. The author explains how: because of Jesus, our High Priest. Jesus is described as a merciful and faithful high priest in Hebrews 2:17, and He accomplished propitiation for sin (or the satisfaction of God’s wrath because of sin).” Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people” (HEBREWS 2:17) In the Mosaic Law, the high priest would intercede on behalf of the people and was at least a symbolic head of the current priestly administration (Numbers 25, 28). The priest would bring sacrifices to God on behalf of the people of Israel and would do so repeatedly, as the law prescribed. While ordinarily the high priest would bring the sacrifice, Jesus Himself was the sacrifice. His personal sacrifice was an incredible act of mercy, and He could be the sacrifice because He had become like those for whom He was giving Himself up (Hebrews 2:17). Because of Jesus the High Priest, we can come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Elsewhere in the epistle, Jesus is the “High Priest of our confession” (Hebrews 3:1). Jesus is a trustworthy high priest, as God the Father counted Him faithful (Hebrews 3:2). If the Father counts Him as faithful, then we can, too. The posture of your coming before the throne of grace is very vital to what you receive from the LORD. If you are bold before the throne of grace, your faith will be rewarded with great mercy and great measure of grace. However, if you are not bold before the throne of grace you might not know what to even ask for and so leave the throne with little for your faith. It is high time we got to know that we are even seated with Jesus on this throne so we are heirs of the throne of grace. If you know who you are in Christ and what you have in Christ, the Christian life/journey becomes easier and enjoyable. As children of God, we have been encouraged severally to fear not; therefore, let us wear boldness on a daily basis by speaking the words of boldness to our own selves and obtaining what we are entitled to as heirs of God and coheirs with Christ. Hallelujah! PRAYERS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Heavenly Father, I thank you for the grace to become your child and to always approach your throne because of your mercy and love. The opposite of meekness is defined by Merriam-Webster as egotistic, pompous, haughty, and aggressive. Through this, we see a different picture of meekness. It isn’t a doormat mentality or silence in the face of injustice. Instead, it doesn’t retaliate when wronged and doesn’t exude pride and narcissism. The type of person most people would think would rule the earth likely exhibits some of the traits listed above. At least, it fits the bill for the Roman emperors during the time of Jesus. Meekness does not mean remaining quiet when we see injustices take place in the world around us or simply sitting back and taking abuse in our families, in our church, and in our world. Meekness here means a number of things: 1. Non-retaliation: In Jesus’ culture, they operated in an eye-for-eye mindset. If someone were to wrong you, you’d wrong them back. The problem was, retaliation escalated in a never-ending cycle. Here, Jesus calls us to diffuse the fire before it grows too dangerous. 2. Thankfulness: We ought to be thankful for the gifts God has given us. A worldly leader wants more and more and is envious of the gifts others have that he cannot possess. A godly leader is content with the gifts God has given him and chooses to honor God with them. 3. Joy: No matter how dire the circumstances, a meek person will find joy in knowing the heavenly Father has a plan for his life. How do we become meek? We trust God will handle the enemies who spurn us and we exercise gratitude and joy in all circumstances. Revenge belongs to God alone. Beloved, Jesus Christ is definitely right. The earth can be inherited; Heaven is not the only inheritance of the Saints. The earth also is an asset of God which can be inherited by faith and by the conduct of meekness. To be meek is to be extremely humble and being totally devoted and obedient to our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ without any shadow of doubt. Meekness is not condoning sin. The Bible describes Jesus as a meek man. Yet He charged through the temple overturning tables (Matthew 21:12-17) and He confronted the pharisees over their hypocrisy (Matthew 23:13). Moses was meek amongst the people of his time yet missed the promised land out of anger/disobedience. Instead of speaking to the rock, he was angry with the Israelite and hit the rock twice, Numbers 20:8-12. His action was not in line with the will of God. Even though water came out of the rock, God was angry with Moses because the rock that followed them was Christ and Christ must die once, 1 Corinthians 10:4. So Moses missed the promised land though God favored him by showing him the promised land from far off before he died. We must be meeker than Moses: we should be meek like Jesus Christ and we shall inherit the earth. May the Lord bless our meekness in Jesus’ name, Amen. The Rock on which we build is Christ Himself. (Refer: Deuteronomy 32:1-4; Psalm 18:2, 46; I Corinthians 3:10-11):32 “Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:3 Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he”. (DEUT. 32: 1-4), and(10) “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. (11) For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1CORINTHIANS 3: 10-11) also2 “The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.46 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted” (PSALM 18: 2, 46)In this parable according to Luke 6:48, Christ teaches us the importance of doing as well as hearing. Consider, Mathew 7:24-27;“Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.”“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27 NKJV)Jesus Christ compared those who do what He says to a wise builder who built his house on the rock. But he who refuse to do after hearing, he calls him, a foolish man who built on the sand.In other words, the foundation of the building determines both the strength and lifespan of the building. Jesus Christ is the rock of ages on which we ought to build our lives. He said if we do His Word, we are wise builders. The wise builder is ready to face the floods and storms of life – which represent the challenges, trials, and difficulties of life – without being shaken by them. He is certain that life is not all rosy, and therefore His disciples must come to terms with this and prepare themselves to face life; He is expecting nothing but success from them.Dearly beloved, what foundation are you building your life on? VOLUME 2🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿SUNDAY, JANUARY 15, 2023🪐💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦TODAY’S THEME:👉 THE WISE BUILDER”He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock”TEXT: Luke 6:48MESSAGE📕Luke 6:48, Luke describes the wise builder as a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built, on the foundation of the rock. Build your life on the Holy Scriptures, and you will surely succeed. Shalom.PRAYERS♨️Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and wisdom which you have granted me. I come to terms with your word, and I pray that you give me the grace to build on the solid foundation, which is Jesus Christ. Make me O Lord a wise builder and give understanding to always fall back to the foundation of my life in Jesus mighty name, Amen.FURTHER BIBLE READINGLUKE 6BIBLE READING PLAN FOR THE YEAR, 2023MORNING: 2 SAMUEL,12-13.EVENING: 2 SAMUEL, 14-15.💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦Author: Pastor NseAbasi Harry💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦HAMMER WORD BIBLE CHURCH, ABAK, NIGERIA CARES ⛪

ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿THURSDAY, JANUARY 5, 2023🎁💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦TODAY’S THEME: BELIEVER’S LIFESTYLE”For if I have boasted anything to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth”TEXT: 2 Corinthians 7:14MESSAGE📕To live a believer’s lifestyle requires having the character of Christ. A transformation must occur, as a result of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling (Galatians 5: 24-25). When we truly practice the believer’s lifestyle, the inward evidence becomes obvious. God’s glory and power pour out upon all those around us. Those who live the believer’s lifestyle live a confident life on the inside and outside. The people of God have a certain kind of lifestyle that has been designed for them, and this should be a way of life if they want to continue to be the children of God. Their lifestyle could either bless their possessions or vise versa. To receive blessings from God, you first have to do everything God’s way. In order to receive the blessing of healing from God, He has demanded humility, prayer, seeking His face, and repentance. Only then can He heal His children and their land. Today’s Christians should not take God for granted; He still demands humility, fellowship, prayer, and repentance today because He is still a holy God. Dearly beloved, if we want God to be close to us, fellowship with us, and answer our prayers, then we need to live lifestyles of prayer, humility, repentance, and holiness. What is the purpose of living a Believer’s lifestyle? To remain connected to God through Jesus Christ (JOHN 15:4-8).To remain faithful through persecution and to resist false doctrine (2 Timothy 3: 12-17)To present the Good News to a lost world (Mark 16: 15-16; 1 Timothy 6:12).Our transformed lives compel us to share the Gospel’s impact not just for our “today”, but for our eternity. What was the lifestyle of Jesus Christ?Jesus communicated continually with God (Matthew 11:25-26; Mark 6:46).He acknowledged the significance of the Holy Spirit (John 14: 16-17, 26).He obeyed the will of His Heavenly Father (Luke 22:42, John 6: 38-39).He resisted temptation by steadfastness to the word of God (Luke 4:1-13)He reached out to those considered hopeless and sinners (Mark 2:15-16)He served others, humbling himself before his father (John 13: 3-5, 12-15)He persevered in faith and love (John 4:34, John 9:4, John 17:23).Beloved follow the footsteps of Christ and live for his glory, in Jesus mighty name, AmenPRAYERS🔑Heavenly Father, I thank you for your goodness and blessings over my life and family. ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 2023🎁💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦TODAY’S THEME: Despise Not God”He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit”TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 4:8MESSAGE📕I can recount my personal experience here. I see in many believers and churches an alarming trend, which is “ignorance of God’s word” by some, rejection of God’s word by others, and an outright “despise of the word of God” by some also. The results we see, are catastrophic. In Amos 2: 4 (KJV), one of the reasons God judged Judah was that they despised the law of the Lord, and have not kept his commandment.“Thus, saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the Lord, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked” (AMOS 2:4)In 2 Chronicles 36:16, the Children of Israel mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy.” But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy” (2 CHRONICLES 36:16)This is a sobering warning-to despise the word of the Lord is to incur His Wrath. This is dangerous to those that despise his word. So, the warning is “Despise Not the Word of The Lord”. Despising His Word means despising God. Despising His messenger means Despising God (2 CHRONICLE 36:16, AMOS 2:4)The Apostle Paul, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, cautioned the church in Thessalonica not to look down on one another (despise) or one another’s gifts (1 Thess. 4:8). Every believer has been bought by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, so in God’s sight, we are equal and should treat one another as such. Since all of the believers at Thessalonica were children of God, whatever they did to one another – whether good or evil – they were doing it to God.The Holy Spirit, who is the seal of our salvation, lives in every Christian, and therefore we must respect one another and never belittle anyone. We should also exhort one another daily (Hebrews 3:13). When we do these things, there will be unity among us, and we will do the work of God with joy instead of bitterness. When there is love and oneness among us, it is easy for the world to see the light in us and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.PRAYERS🔑Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of life and the salvation of my soul. Father, help me to live according to your will in my life. Strengthen me with thy Holy Spirit and empower me never to despise your purpose in my life.Father, thy word is the light of my life, help me Lord to live according to thy word, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.FURTHER BIBLE READING1 TIMOTHY 4BIBLE READING PLAN FOR THE YEAR, 2023MORNING: 1 SAMUEL,15-16EVENING: REVELATION, 7-8.💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦Author: Pastor NseAbasi Harry 🪐💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦HAMMER WORD BIBLE CHURCH, ABAK, NIGERIA CARES ⛪

ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2022.🎁💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦TODAY’S THEME: Dealing with Man and God”Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”TEXT: Hebrews 12:14″MESSAGE📕The children of God have two relationships: their relationship with God and their relationship with men. Vertical Relationships are those where one of the members has greater standing, whether due to power and authority or knowledge and wisdom, for example a relationship between God and man. Horizontal relationships are those where they are equality of status amongst the relationships involved, for example a relationship between husband and wife. God created all men equally, in his image and his likeness.Loving God is a vertical love or relationship. Loving others is a horizontal love. Jesus showed his discipleshow these two loves are intertwined in practical ways. He warns and encourages us to see that the way we treat people affects our experience and relationship with him (1 JOHN 4: 7-12):7” Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us”We are truly involved in four different kinds of relationships of God;” our relationship with God”, “our relationship with ourself”, “our relationship with each other”, and “our relationship with the world”. This is an essential theology for understanding the good news. These can be placed at the four points of the across with “God at the head”, “self at the base”, and “Each other” and” World” horizontally across, left and right respectively. When the children of God deal with men, they are expected to deal peacefully with them. The Scriptures say that as much as lies with the children of God, they should live peaceably with all men (Romans 12:18);“If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men”.Hebrews 12:14 also says,””Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”It is only in the midst of this peace that we can experience continual development. On the other hand, the children of God must live a holy life because without holiness, we cannot experience the Lord. God is holy, and we can only see Him with a pure and sincere heart. If Christians are able to appropriately hold to these two standards in their relationships, they will live in continual joy and prosperity in Christ Jesus.Beloved, how do you live with your fellow men? What is your relationship with the Lord?May the Lord guide you to choose the right way of holiness and peace with all men in Jesus mighty name, Amen.PRAYERS🔑Heavenly Father, I thank you for your goodness and mercy over my life and destiny. I surrender all to thy blessed will, please Lord, help me to live in peace with all men and holiness so that, I will fulfill the kingdom assignment given to me by you.
