ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL ⛪💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2022Today’s Theme: ⛪BE A PEACE MAKER“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God”.Text: Matthew 5:9MESSAGE🍎A peacemaker is someone who brings about peace. He or She preaches peace and lives in peace with others. Any person who reconciles adversaries is a peace maker. A peacemaker engages in processes such as negotiation, mediation, reconciliation, and arbitration-in case of international scene, to bring about peace. Our Text today is the seventh of the beatitudes: and seven was the number of perfection among the Hebrews. It may be that the Saviour placed the peacemaker the seventh upon the list because he most nearly approaches the perfect man in Christ Jesus. He who would have perfect blessedness, so far as it can be enjoyed on earth, must attain to this seventh benediction, and become a peacemaker. There is a significance also in the position of the text. The verse which precedes it speaks of the blessedness of “the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”It is well to understand that we are to be “first pure, then peaceable.”Our peaceableness is never to be a compact with sin, or toleration of evil. We must set our faces like flints against everything which is contrary to God and his holiness: purity being in our souls a settled matter, we can go on to peaceableness. Not less does the verse that follows seem to have been put there on purpose. However peaceable we may be in this world, yet we shall be misrepresented and misunderstood: and no marvel, for even the Prince of Peace, by his very peacefulness, brought fire upon the earth. He himself, though he loved mankind, and did no ill, was “despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.” (Isaiah 53:3)Lest, therefore, the peaceable in heart should be surprised when they meet with enemies, it is added in the following verse,“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Mathew 5:10)Thus, the peacemakers are not only pronounced to be blessed, but they are compassed about with blessings. Lord, give us grace to climb to this seventh beatitude! Purify our minds that we may be “first pure, then peaceable,” and fortify our souls, that our peace may not lead us into cowardice and despair, when for thy sake we are persecuted.Characteristics of PeacemakersPeace rules in their hearts. Philippians 4:7Peacemakers are active members of the body of Christ trying to reconcile people. 1 Corinthians 12:12They are resolute in the truth. 1John 3:4They are gentle. 2 Timothy 2:24They are patience. James 1:4; James 5:7-8They seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34: 14They always live to please the Lord. Psalm 16:7.I pray that the very God of peace grant us peace always, and make us peacemakers, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.PRAYERS♨️Heaven Father, I thank you for a wonderful opportunityYou give to me as a child of peace to be identified with your peace deal.Father, let your peace guides my heart and empower me with the grace to live peaceably with all men.Make me Lord the instrument of peace, as your peace ambassador to bring peace to every facet of life I find myself.Father, as I step out today, may I encounter your peace and live in peace always in Jesus mighty name, Amen.May your peace, open the heavens of the blessings for my progress and victory through the very God of peace in Jesus mighty name, AmenFURTHER BIBLE READINGROMANS 14:19; PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7;JAMES 3: 13-18BIBLE READING PLANS FOR THE YEARMORNING: GENESIS, 17-18EVENING: MATHEW, 17-18💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦Hammer Word Cares ♨️

Someone that lacks the basic necessity of life. Someone without the proper means of survival is considered the poor. Why does God allow so many of his children to be poor? He could make them all rich if he is pleased; he could lay bags of gold at their doors; he could send them a large annual income; or he could scatter round their houses abundance of provisions, as once he made the quails lie in heaps round the camp of Israel, and rained bread out of heaven to feed them (Exodus 16:4)“Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.”There is no necessity that they should be poor, except that he sees it to be best. Hear Him;10 “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.12 If me were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof”.(Psalm 50:10-12)He could supply them; he could make the richest, the greatest, and the mightiest bring all their powers and riches to the feet of his children, for the hearts of all men are in his control (Proverbs 21:1). But he does not choose to do so; he allows them to suffer want, he allows them to pine in penury and obscurity. Why is this? There are many reasons, but one of them is to give us, who are favoured with enough, an opportunity of showing our love to Jesus. We show our love to Christ when we sing of him and when we pray to him; but if there were no sons of need in the world we should lose the sweet privilege of evidencing our love (God first demonstrated it-John 3:16), by ministering in alms-giving to his poorer brethren; he has ordained that thus we should prove that our love stands not in word only, but indeed and in truth (1 John 3:18).If we truly love Christ, we shall care for those who are loved by him. Those who are dear to him will be dear to us. Let us then look upon it not as a duty but as a privilege to relieve the poor of the Lord’s flock—remembering the words of the Lord Jesus,“Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” (Mathew 25:40)Surely this assurance is sweet enough, and this motive strong enough to lead us to help others with a willing hand and a loving heart—recollecting that all we do for his people is graciously accepted by Christ as done to himself.PRAYERS♨️Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love for me. In the Old Testament, we observed Abraham offering a tenth to Melchizedek, king of Salem, the Priest of the Most High God in Gen.14:17-20. And Abraham paid tithe of all to God which brought deliverance unto him against the will of the enemies. Tithes of all means tithes of things according to God’s blessings concerning his life and destiny. This tithing was done before Mosaic covenant with God concerning the children of IsraelThere is nowhere in the New Testament that any of the Apostles or Disciples Condemned or criticised Tithing. When Jesus made reference to Tithing He never Condemned or advocated it to be abolished (Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42)If the Principle of “Jesus and Paul” as the basis of New Testament Doctrines still holds then the noise about tithe is much ado about nothing because none of them said anything untoward about it.Therefore obey the covenant and enjoy the blessings of tithing.TITHING UNDER THE LAWTithing under the law is very much different from the tithe practiced by Abraham and the Church today. While the tithe under Melchizedek Priesthood was a single payment of 10% a sign of GRATITUDE without any clear or specific purpose for its use.The Tithing under the law was not a One type but three different types. The Levitical or Sacred Tithe (Numbers 18:21,24) (10% of 100 = 10)The Tithe of the Feasts (Deuteronomy 14:22-27) (10% of 90 = 9)The Tithe for the poor (Deuteronomy 14:28,29) (10% of 80 = 8) 10 +9+8 = 27If you do a Calculation of the above Tithe payment you come up with 27% not 10%. No Church takes 27% from anyone under compulsion or force. The above Tithe under the law comes with a punitive measures of additional 20% if not paid. The Church does not practice that. Listen to this:Leviticus 27:30-33: “‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD. If a man redeems any of his tithe, he must add a fifth of the value to it.The kind of tithe practiced in our churches today is structured administratively not as a matter of law but to aid in the effective running of the Church because unlike the days of Melchizedek today we have Temples and Priests to take care of, coupled with all the other projects and philanthropic gestures the church is involved. The Spirit behind the tithe under Melchizedek, Moses and the Church is the same but the structures may differ.Under Melchizedek it was 10% and there was no Punitive measures recorded, Under Moses it was 27% and there was punitive measures attached to it, under the Church the punitive measures are removed and the Percentage returned to 10%.So the Church kind of tithe is not the law type but the Melchizedek type which existed hundreds of years before law.By the time of Malachi the tithe has become a kind of a covenant type of payment through which God deals with Israel for which reason non-payment attracts “No Blessings” which is captured as a Curse.Due to this reason both Jesus and Paul were careful not to touch the issue unnecessarily, because it helped the commitment of the people in relation to their service of God.Anything that makes people show discipline and commitment to God also increases their faith and it is important because without faith it is impossible to please God.What then are the blessings of tithing according to Malachi 3: 10-12?The windows of heaven will be opened to you through your obedience in tithing. Malachi 3:10Blessings from heaven will be outpoured unto you. Malachi 3:10.Devourers over your blessings and assets will be rebuked by the Lord.Malachi 3:11Destruction from the wicked will be far away from your tabernacle. Malachi 3:11There will be no barrenness in your lands. Malachi 3:11You will be a blessing to your generation. It means taking too much liberties. Its synonyms are: pompous, pretentious, overconfident, foolhardy, and arrogant, rude. Presumptuous Sins are deliberate sins. They are sins committed with the full knowledge that they are sins and in full light of what God has said. Presumptuous is sin that is committed willfully against known truth and knowledge in total disregard for that revealed truth. Presumptuous sins are self- destructive and should be avoided at all cost. You can still put it this way; Presumptuous sins are always conscious sins that are committed knowingly after deliberation, and in full knowledge of what is involved. In this case, Presumptuous sins are ultimate rebellion against God. Presumptuous sin is a rape of God’s mercy. Such was the prayer of the “man after God’s own heart.”Did holy David need to pray thus? How needful, then, must such a prayer be for us babes in grace! It is as if he said, “Keep me back, or I shall rush headlong over the precipice of sin.” Our evil nature, like an ill-tempered horse, is apt to run away. May the grace of God put the bridle upon it, and hold it in, that it rush not into mischief. What might not the best of us do if it were not for the checks which the Lord sets upon us both in providence and in grace! The psalmist’s prayer is directed against the worst form of sin—that which is done with deliberation and willfulness. Even the holiest need to be “kept back” from the vilest transgressions. It is a solemn thing to find the apostle Paul warning saints against the most loathsome sins. “Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” (Colossians 3:5)What!, do saints want warning against such sins as these? Yes, they do.The whitest robes, unless their purity be preserved by divine grace, will be defiled by the blackest spots. Experienced Christian, boast not in your experience; you will trip yet if you look away from him who is able to keep you from falling (Hebrews 12:2).Ye whose love is fervent, whose faith is constant, whose hopes are bright, say not, “We shall never sin,” but rather cry, “Lead us not into temptation.” (Mathew 6:13).There is enough tinder in the heart of the best of men to light a fire that shall burn to the lowest hell, unless God shall quench the sparks as they fall.Who would have dreamed that righteous Lot could be found drunken, and committing uncleanness? Strangers are foreigners operating on a different environment or nations other than their own. Believers are strangers in this world. We are in this world but we are not of this world.Hear this: “Yes, O Lord, with thee, but not to thee. All my natural alienation from thee, thy grace has effectually removed; and now, in fellowship with thyself, I walk through this sinful world as a pilgrim in a foreign country”.Thou art a stranger in thine own world. How? The world lies under the wicked arms of Satan. Man who forgets thee, dishonours thee, sets up new laws and alien customs, and knows thee not. When thy dear Son came unto his own, his own received him not. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not (John 1:10).Never was a foreigner so speckled a bird among the denizens of any land as thy beloved Son among his mother’s brethren (John 1:11).It is no marvel, then, if I who live the life of Jesus, should be unknown in the world and a stranger thereof.Lord, I would not be a citizen where Jesus was an alien. His pierced hand has loosened the cords which once bound my soul to earth, and now I find myself a stranger in the land, called this world. My speech seems to these Babylonians among whom I dwell an outlandish tongue, my manners are singular, and my actions are strange.A Tartar would be more at home in Cheapside than I could ever be in the haunts of sinners. But here is the sweetness of my lot: I am a stranger with thee. Thou art my fellow-sufferer, my fellow-pilgrim. Oh, what joy to wander in such blessed society! My heart burns within me by the way when thou does speak to me, and though I be a sojourner, I am far more bless than those who sit on thrones, and far more at home than those who dwell in their ceiled houses.“To me remains nor place, nor time:My country is in every clime;I can be calm and free from careOn any shore, since God is there. While place we seek, or place we shun,The soul finds happiness in none:But with a God to guide our way,’Tis equal joy to go or stay.”It is my utmost prayers that we will find peace to dwell in this strange land with hope of eternity.PRAYERSHeavenly Father, I thank you for giving me this understanding, that while I live in this world, I am not of this world.Father, help me that while I live in this world, never allow me to make my bed with the world.Help me to shut my eyes on the things of this world. If you would prosper in your work for Jesus, let it be heart work, and let it be done with all your heart. Put as much force, energy, heartiness, and earnestness into religion as ever you do into business, for it deserves far more. The Holy Spirit helps our infirmities (Romans 8:26), but he does not encourage our idleness; he loves active believers.Who are the most useful men in the Christian church? The men who do what they undertake for God with all their hearts.Who are the most successful born again believers today? The most talented? No; the most zealous; the men whose hearts are on fire, those are the men who see their Lord riding forth prosperously in the majesty of his salvation.Whole-heartedness shows itself in perseverance; there may be failure at first, but the earnest worker will say, “It is the Lord’s work, and it must be done; my Lord has bidden me do it, and in his strength I will accomplish it.” Christian, art thou thus “with all thine heart” serving thy Master?Remember the earnestness of Jesus! Think what heart-work was his!He could say, “The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up (Psalm 69:9).”When he sweat great drops of blood, it was no light burden he had to carry upon those blessed shoulders; and when he poured out his heart, it was no weak effort he was making for the salvation of his people. Was Jesus in earnest, and are we lukewarm? We as believers today must work the works of God for blessings to flow upon us as Jesus had declared in John 9:4.“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work”.We must earnestly contend for the faith laid before us.“Beloved, when me gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” (Jude 1:3)We must serve God in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24), then reap bountiful harvest of blessings (Hebrews 6:10)“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye has shewed toward his name, in that ye has ministered to the saints, and do minister”.Beloved whatever we do for God, is for our good that we may reap if we faint not. My prayer is that may you be faithful to God who is faithful (Deuteronomy 7:9) and reap the benefits of redemption, the riches of his glory, in Jesus mighty name, amen.PRAYERS🍎Heavenly Father, I thank you for your love and care over my life and family. I am quite grateful for finding me worthy to be part of the kingdom. I pray for grace to do your will, and strength to serve you to the end.Father, my times are in thy hand, encourage me to do your blessed will and help me to stand within thy covenant concerning my life and destiny in Jesus mighty name, Amen.Father, this day I decree, whatever I touch to do will prosper. Prosper my life, soul and spirit and connect me to the realm of blessings. You had promised Abraham that in blessings, you will bless him.Father, bless me this day and make my life a blessing and help me to stay within thy covenant of blessings in Jesus name, Amen.FURTHER READING:DEUTERONOMY 8:1. ULTIMATE CARE DEVOTIONAL💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2022Today’s Theme: ⛪ BE STRONG IN HIS GRACE“Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus”.Text: 2 Timothy 2:1MESSAGEGrace is the unmerited favour of God. Grace is God’s goodwill for his people. Christians have grace without measure in themselves, but he hath not retained it for himself. As the reservoir empties itself into the pipes, so hath Christ emptied out his grace for his people. “Of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” He seems only to have in order to dispense to us. He stands like the fountain, always flowing, but only running in order to supply the empty pitchers and the thirsty lips which draw nigh unto it. Like a tree, he bears sweet fruit, not to hang on boughs, but to be gathered by those who need. Grace, whether its work be to pardon, to cleanse, to preserve, to strengthen, to enlighten, to quicken, or to restore, is ever to be had from him freely and without price; nor is there one form of the work of grace which he has not bestowed upon his people. As the blood of the body, though flowing from the heart, belongs equally to every member, so the influences of grace are the inheritance of every saint united to the Lamb; and herein there is a sweet communion between Christ and his Church, inasmuch as they both receive the same grace.Christ is the head upon which the oil is first poured; but the same oil runs to the very skirts of the garments, so that the meanest saint has an unction of the same costly moisture as that which fell upon the head. This is true communion when the sap of grace flows from the stem to the branch, and when it is perceived that the stem itself is sustained by the very nourishment which feeds the branch (JOHN15:5)“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing”.JOHN15:5.As we day by day receive grace from Jesus, and more constantly recognize it as coming from him, we shall behold him in communion with us, and enjoy the felicity of communion with him.Let us make daily use of our riches in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:7), and ever repair to him as to our own Lord in covenant, taking from him the supply of all we need with as much boldness as men take money from their own bank.“That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:7)PRAYERSHeavenly Father, I thank you for your grace given to me in Christ Jesus.I am grateful for keeping me and sustaining my life and family.Help me Lord to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Empower me with the right knowledge.Strengthen me with the strength of the Lord and help me to fulfill my destiny in Christ Jesus in Jesus might name, Amen. This day my stepping out is blessed and anchored on Christ. My plans and desire are in thy hands, Lord make my desire and plans safe and sound in Christ Jesus.Father, make me strong in the grace you have given to me in Jesus mighty name, Amen. Empower my going out and coming today, and bless all my abilities in Jesus mighty name Amen.FURTHER BIBLE READINGPSALM 84:11, ZECHARIAH 4:4-7; EPHESIANS 2: 4-7⛪BIBLE READING PLAN FOR THE YEARMORNING: GENESIS CHAPTERS, 5-6.EVENING: MATHEW CHAPTERS, 5-6.💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦💦Hammer Word Cares ⛪
